02What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have. It covers this website, the enquiry forms on it, and the lead forms we run on Facebook and Instagram.

03The data we collect

We collect only what we need in order to answer you and to carry out our work:

• —Contact details you give us: your name, email address, telephone number and anything you write in a message.
• —Details about your project: the address of the property, the surfaces involved and what you would like done — usually gathered during the site visit rather than online.
• —Data from our advertising: when you fill in a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta passes us the details you submitted there.
• —Technical data: your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. We use this to keep the site working and secure.

04Why we use it, and on what basis

• —To answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation and arrange a site visit — because you asked us to, and to take steps before entering into a contract.
• —To carry out the work and manage the relationship afterwards — to perform our contract with you.
• —To keep records required of us, including accounting and tax records — to comply with our legal obligations.
• —To improve our website and our advertising — on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and improving our business, weighed against your interests.
• —To send you commercial messages where you have asked to receive them — on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

05Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

• —Our own systems: the enquiries we receive are stored in our customer relationship management system, hosted on servers we control.
• —Meta Platforms: when you submit a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta processes that data under its own privacy policy before passing it to us.
• —Service providers: companies that host our website and systems, send our email, or provide professional advice. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.
• —Authorities: where we are required to disclose data by law.

06Where your data is held

Our systems are hosted in the European Union and in the United Arab Emirates. Where personal data is transferred outside the country in which it was collected, we take steps to ensure it remains protected to an equivalent standard, using the safeguards required by the applicable law.

07How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to answer you and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to us. Where the enquiry becomes a job, we keep the records for as long as required for contractual, warranty, accounting and tax purposes. After that, the data is deleted or anonymised.

08Your rights

Subject to the applicable law, you may ask us to:

• —give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• —correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
• —delete data we no longer have a reason to keep;
• —restrict or object to how we use it;
• —transfer your data to another provider, where that right applies;

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the competent supervisory authority — in the United Arab Emirates, the UAE Data Office; in the European Economic Area, the data protection authority of the country where you live.

10Cookies

This website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function and to remember the language you have chosen. We do not use cookies to build a profile of you across other websites. Where we run advertising on Facebook and Instagram, that advertising is managed inside Meta's own platforms and is governed by their policies.

11Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to do their work. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you and the competent authority if a breach occurs that is likely to affect you.

12Children

Our services are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their data, write to us and we will delete it.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date of the latest revision is shown at the top of the page. Where a change materially affects you, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.

14Applicable law

This policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. Where you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we also apply the protections required by the General Data Protection Regulation to the data we collect from you.
